Sunday 27 March marks the annual Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival in New York. The parade is an Easter Sunday tradition in the city, stretching as far back as the 1870s. It’s a chance for people to show off their home made easter bonnets as they march north on Fifth Avenue from 49th Street to 57th Street.

Are you planning on attending the parade this year? Do you have a home made easter bonnet or costume you will be wearing with pride? Whether you are marching in the parade itself, or getting a perfect view from the area around St.Patrick’s Cathedral, share your easter bonnet pictures and videos with us.

If you’re attending other Easter parades where you live, and have homemade bonnets you’d like to share with us, we’d like to see these too.

You can share your Easter Parade and bonnet pictures by clicking on the blue ‘Contribute’ button on this article. You can also use the Guardian app and search for ‘GuardianWitness assignments’ – and if you add it to the homepage – you can keep up with all our assignments. We’ll feature a selection of your contributions on the site.
