Easter delivery slots for Tesco, Asda, Aldi, M&S and more

It may not seem all that long since Christmas, but March has already come along and Easter isn't all that far away. Although it's quite late this year, in mid-April, those looking to bag home delivery slots from supermarkets need to get planning.

Easter Sunday this year falls on April 17 and, much like Christmas Day, all large supermarkets will be closed. Many shoppers are continuing to do their food shopping online following changes of habit during the pandemic, so it's a good idea to be thinking about booking delivery slots ahead of Easter.

Here's everything you need to know about when major supermarket chains including Tesco, Aldi, Waitrose, Marks and Spencer and more will be opening their bookings for this year's Easter celebrations, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Tesco

Tesco's Easter delivery slots will open up first to customers who are signed up to its Delivery Saver service. Slots for these customers will open up on March 15 at 6am.

For all other customers, bookings will be open from 6am on March 22. The final date for all bookings will be Saturday, April 16, depending on availability.

There's also plenty of Easter treats on offer at Tesco, from trusty staples like crème eggs and mini eggs, to delicious new products such as Cadbury Dairy Milk orange mini eggs and a Kit Kat Chunky biscoff egg.

Waitrose

Waitrose's home delivery slots open up 25 days in advance on a rolling basis. This means that slots to be delivered on Good Friday (April 15) are able to be booked from March 21, and Easter Saturday delivery times would be visible online from March 22.

As the supermarket will be closed on Easter Sunday, the last day for deliveries before Easter itself will be on Easter Saturday. Home deliveries will resume on Easter Monday.

Slots can book up quickly around busy periods, but if you have left things to the last minute then not to worry, as you can order right up until 7pm on the day before you want your order to be delivered, subject to availability.

Marks and Spencer

Upmarket retailer Marks and Spencer will be offering delivery for its Easter food gifts from March 29. The gift range includes Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar gift bags, which include a range of chocolate and sweets, an Easter egg hunt kit and a themed bag.

M&S is also offering luxurious Belgian milk chocolate eggs, including one decorated with a striking floral design. The range of M&S Easter treats can all be delivered right up until Easter weekend - and beyond in some cases - subject to availability.

Aldi

Aldi does not deliver food, but does deliver items sold online. Aldi's standard delivery takes three to five working days to arrive, the large item standard open can take two to seven working days, whereas the next day delivery option can help with sourcing any last-minute items.

Co-op

Co-op customers can continue to use the supermarket's on-demand grocery delivery service as usual during the Easter period, with no Easter-specific slots set to go live. Shoppers can order online and book a slot up to five days in advance, with orders fulfilled within two hours.

Asda

Those looking to do their Easter shop at Asda will be able to secure a slot when they open on March 31. Customers can choose their preferred date and time, but should not delay as the slots will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Shoppers will also be able to amend their delivery up until the time shown on their order confirmation email. This is usually the evening before delivery.

Iceland

Those looking to order from Iceland this Easter will have to wait a little longer to find out when they can secure one, as the supermarket has yet to announce when its Easter home delivery slots will be opening this year.

Morrisons

Morrisons has also yet to reveal when customers will be able to access Easter delivery slots, although in previous years, the supermarket has released these weeks in advance to the day itself and they are usually snapped up fast.

Those who are registered with Morrisons' Delivery Pass service can usually see the available slots up to 21 days in advance, whereas all other customers can view the available slots for the next seven days.

Lidl

Lidl does not currently offer a home delivery service, but there are plenty of seasonal delights to be found in store, from tasty chocolate treats to everything you need for your Easter roast dinner.

Sainsbury's

Sainsbury's has not yet revealed when its Easter delivery slots will be available. However, the supermarket chain offers a Delivery Pass service for customers, which entitles them to see slots further in advance and get priority at busy times, so these shoppers may be the first ones in the know.
