She is the niece of Whitney Dean and Sean Slater, and the granddaughter of Jean Slater.
Lily changed her name to Lily Fowler when Martin married Stacey, while she was also previously known as Lily Branning.

Lily has been recast, with young actress Lillia Turner taking over the role from September 2020.
