EastEnders villain Chrissie Watts' return 'sealed' as fans spot cryptic tweet

EastEnders viewers are predicting a big return for Chrissie Watts on the BBC soap, after a tweet by actress Tracy-Ann Oberman.

Tracy-Ann played the wife of Den Watts between 2004 and 2005, until the character murdered him.

Chrissie left the soap when she was finally arrested for the crime, having framed Sam Mitchell - who was involved with his death, alongside Zoe Slater.

The trio were dubbed the Witches of Walford after dramatic scenes saw them take on evil Den, leading to his violent death.

Years on, and actress Kim Medcalf, who played Sam back then, has returned to the Square for a storyline involving her on-screen brother Phil Mitchell.

Many viewers shared their hopes of a reunion between the two ladies, believing there was unfinished business between Sam and Chrissie.

Now, a tweet by Tracy-Ann has left many viewers hoping this could finally happen, and that Chrissie might reappear on the BBC soap.

She was spotted sending a message to EastEnders ’ new producer Chris Clenshaw, asking for a follow back on the social media platform.

It read: "Hi Chris can you give me a follow please," and this immediately led to speculation she could be back on the show.

The tweet was followed by her teasing that she was filming for something, as she wrote: "Ooh I love a nightshoot #filming."

Sharing their thoughts, fans excitedly took to Twitter with their reactions - and everyone was saying the same thing.

While it isn't known what exactly Tracy-Ann was wanting to discuss with producer Chris, EastEnders viewers were convinced it had to be about the soap and nothing else.

One user responded to the tweet, simply saying: "omg omg omg omg omg - Yes yes yes yes..."

Another tweeted: "Omg please let queen chrissie watts return," as a third user added: "It’s happening."
