EastEnders viewers cringe as Jean makes bizarre 'indecent proposal' to Phil

EastEnders viewers were left red-faced after Jean Slater tried to seduce Phil Mitchell in Tuesday's episode.

Jean is currently mentally unstable after she stopped taking her bipolar medication, and when Kush and Shirley tried to spike her with her medication she accidentally overdosed, leaving her distrustful of her friends and family.

She is absolutely desperate for her daughter Stacey Fowler to return to Walford, but she thought she had to persuade Phil Mitchell to allow her back first.

Jean is totally obsessed with the idea of Stacey coming back, but Shirley told her the only language Phil understands is that of sex.

She warned Jean the only reason Phil is giving the Queen Vic to Sharon is because they are romantically involved.

Misunderstanding, Jean decided to attempt to seduce Phil, with disastrous results.

She surprised Phil in his home on his sofa after breaking in, dressed up to the nines and wearing a sequined dress.

Phil asked Jean if she was winding him up (BBC)

"I'm here to offer myself for your pleasure," she told Phil.

"You could call it an indecent proposal!"

A confused Phil stared in shock at Jean and asked "is this a wind up or what?"

Jean thought the only way she could convince Phil to allow Stacey back would be to sleep with him (BBC)

"Do you like what you see, do you find it alluring?" she asked him.

"I was told I need to use my sexuality, apparently it's the only language you understand," she explained, before begging him to let Stacey back without any repercussions for attacking him with a wrench.

Speechless, Phil offered to make her a cup of tea but then rang Shirley to get her to come over and help.

Viewers could hardly bear to watch the awkward scene unfold, though some found it hilarious.

"Jeans got more chance of going on Strictly rather than getting in Phil Mitchells bed #Eastenders," wrote one.

Another claimed: "Jean trying to seduce phil is the worst thing my eyes have seen today #eastenders ".
