EastEnders twist as Leo's real identity confirmed as secret son of paedophile Tony King

EastEnders aired a shock twist on Monday night, as it was confirmed newcomer Leo did have a link to Bianca Jackson and Walford.

It was revealed that Leo is the son Bianca's ex Tony King, who groomed and sexually abused Whitney Dean.

Back in 2008, Tony was revealed to be having a romance with his underage stepdaughter, making her believe they were in love.

When the truth came out Tony was arrested, and Whitney realised she had been manipulated and abused leading to her exposing him in court.

Tony took his own life in his cell a few years later, and now his secret son has arrived in Walford.

It's been revealed that Leo believes Tony was innocent, and that Bianca and Whitney lied about his father.

Wanting to clear his name, he was also furious to learn Tony's parents had given money to Bianca after the court case and he wants it back.

Bianca had no idea about Leo while she was with Tony, but it's clear the pair have already met given their run-in at Whitney's wedding last week - and the fact Leo hinted he knew all about her stint in prison.

She's fearful for Whitney and her daughter Tiffany, having seen Leo snooping around and is yet to expose his identity to anyone.

Bianca issued a chilling threat while also trying to encourage her daughters to leave the country, desperate to keep him away from Walford and her family.

But with Leo set on his mission, how far will he go and are Whitney and Tiff in danger?

Actor Tom Wells, who plays him, revealed: "I’m really excited to be joining the EastEnders team and seeing what’s in store for Leo. He’s definitely a man not to be trusted and I can’t wait to see him settle into Walford, it’s going to be fun.”

EastEnders' Executive Producer Jon Sen added: "Bianca’s return sparks a gripping new story with the arrival of Leo King – a dark and misguided figure who has grown up with the stigma of being the son of a convicted paedophile.

"We are thrilled to welcome Tom to the Square, knowing he will bring depth and complexity to the role of Leo, a man who believes his father has been wronged and who will also go to great lengths to prove it.”

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
