EastEnders turmoil for Callum as Ben fights for life in a coma after shooting

EastEnders has revealed new pictures teasing the aftermath to Hunter Owen's death, and the siege at The Queen Vic.

Ben Mitchell was shot and left fighting for his life in the immediate fallout, with Callum Highway cradling him on the floor begging him not to die.

Sonia Fowler managed to save his life after his lungs began to collapse, with him unable to breathe.

She performed an emergency procedure using a knife and a biro pen, managing to ease the pressure on his lungs by allowing air in and out of his chest.

Outside, Keanu Taylor was shot too by Hunter who was holding his pregnant fiancée Louise Mitchell hostage.

Hunter fired at Keanu before attempting to kill Louise, only for armed police to kill him.

Now, new spoilers have revealed what happens next in Monday's episode, as Walford comes to terms with the shocking events.

There's no news on Keanu's condition, amid fears from fans he will be killed off in a new twist after the attack.

Meanwhile the Mitchells, the Beales and Jay and Lola are at the hospital waiting for news on an injured Ben.

Emotions run high with one image showing a distressed Phil questioning a doctor for answers after he watched his son almost die in Friday's episode.

Another picture sees Ben in a coma with a machine helping him to breathe – but will he be okay?

Following their reunion, Jay comforts Lola as Ben's shooting and the siege terror leaves her in a state.

Meanwhile, a devastated Callum is also struggling in the fallout as he confides in Stuart about his fears for Ben.

Opening up about the events of last week he turns to his brother, and is left surprised when he gets the acceptance he needs.

Whitney is in a bad way after the wedding drama, and continues to push her loved ones away as they attempt to console her.

Elsewhere, and following Hunter's death, Mel falls apart over the loss of her son as Lisa does her best to support her friend.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
