EastEnders' Tony Clay and Max Bowden tease deadly boat drama for the Mitchells

EastEnders stars Max Bowden and and Tony Clay, who play Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway on the BBC soap, have teased "dramatic" scenes to come amid the 35th anniversary plot.

The cast have filmed a devastating boat tragedy which will see one character lose their life later this week.

All this week, episodes focus on one tragic day as the residents attend a doomed boat party - while Callum remains kidnapped at the hands of a revenge-fuelled Keanu Taylor.

After the Mitchells had him killed on Christmas Day, or so they thought, he was actually let go by Martin Fowler who instead faked the death.

Now he's back, and he's taken Callum in his bid to get revenge on Ben, leading to deadly scenes to come.

Speaking about what viewers can expect from the scenes involving beloved couple Ballum, Max and Tony teased "drama" on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday.

Max said: "Thursday is the Mitchells' perspective of our week, Callum being chained up, Keanu's back... so there's loads to come, a lot of drama."

Tony added, asked about the kidnap scenes: "It's alright, so Callum is in a bit of a situation at the moment, so we'll have to wait and see.

"He might make the boat, get himself out a little dingy... he’s meant to be there!"

While their involvement has only been teased so far, Thursday's episode will see Ben, dad Phil, Keanu and Callum take centre stage.

It's hinted they will be the cause behind the scenes on the boat, as Keanu is confronted by Phil - with Ben soon joining the showdown.

On Monday night, a couple of scenes saw Ben in the yet-to-be revealed fallout, while the boat captain also teased an incident on board - in the location the characters are in.

It was then teased a gun had been fired meaning anything could happen.

Several viewers are left fighting for their lives, with some going overboard.

But fans will have to tune in all week, especially Friday, to find out more - and who dies.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
