EastEnders' Tommy Moon confirms heartbreaking secret leaving Kush Kazemi reeling

EastEnders' little Tommy Moon opened up about his secret torment to stepfather Kush Kazemi in the latest episode of the BBC soap.

In emotional scenes, the youngster, 9, finally revealed his secret after it became clear he was hiding something.

Tommy appeared to be struggling and on Monday, his great-grandmother Mo Harris revealed she'd found a bad school report for him hidden in the sofa.

Kush encouraged him to talk about it, worried something was up.

Tommy concerned him further when he admitted he hated school, while also claiming: "I hate my life".

On Tuesday, Kush managed to get Tommy to speak up and tell him what had been going on.

But he wasn't anticipating the heartbreaking truth, with Tommy suffering with bullying at school.

Tommy explained he'd been struggling in lessons and falling behind.

He couldn't understand the mild level studies in class, leading to torment from those in his lessons.

As Kush tried to comfort Tommy, the youngster went on to reveal some of the hurtful comments he'd received.

Tommy said he was constantly laughed at, and called names like "Tommy thicko" and likened to zombies for "not having a brain".

Kush was mortified by the confession, devastated that Tommy had been going through such torment.

Viewers were equally moved by the confession, taking to Twitter to have their say.

One fan said: "Tommy getting bullied at school is unacceptable."

Another tweeted: "Poor Tommy."

EastEnders airs Mondays at 8pm, and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
