EastEnders looks set to go off air in two weeks' time as the cast and crew haven't been able to return to filming yet.
ITV have already resumed production for Emmerdale and Coronation Street will follow soon afterwards, but it has been reported that EastEnders actors still do not know when they will return to Albert Square.
A source has revealed that the BBC soap is due to go off air on June 16.
They told The Sun : "Talks about when the cast are returning to set are ongoing."
EastEnders declined to comment when approached by Mirror TV.
BBC's director of content, Charlotte Moore, recently confirmed EastEnders would begin filming again in June.
It was halted in March due to the lockdown, and the soap has been running on a reduced schedule so it did not run out of episodes.
Writing in the Telegraph, Charlotte said: "We've been looking very carefully at how we can safely put some of our shows back into production, and I'm pleased to announce that we plan to begin filming again on both EastEnders and Top Gear by the end of next month."
She added: "Cast members will do their own hair and make-up. Social distancing measures will be in place."
When filming does resume, the Queen Vic likely won't be opening its doors as the coronavirus pandemic is reflected in storylines.
Meanwhile, Emmerdale will be airing special lockdown episodes focusing on couples and family members struggling their way through the bizarre current climate.
