EastEnders star Tilly Keeper quits and confirms dramatic exit for Louise Mitchell

Character Louise Mitchell is set for a dramatic EastEnders exit after actress Tilly Keeper confirmed that she will be leaving the popular soap in 2020 after a four year stint.

According to The Sun, the 22-year-old soap star will bow out of playing Louise Mitchell in the hit BBC soap in a mystery exit plot in the New Year. 

Speaking to  The Sun Online , Tilly said: "I have loved playing Louise Mitchell over these past few years, and I feel honoured to have been part of such an iconic show.

"Working with our incredible cast and crew has been a joy and I shall miss my EastEnders family greatly."

Executive producer Jon Sen added: "Tilly has been an incredible asset to the EastEnders cast and a wonderful company member. Her portrayal of Louise Mitchell over the past years has been a joy to watch.

"We wish her well in all her future endeavours."

Tilly has played Louise in Walford since 2016, and the news of her departure comes just weeks after the announcement that Keanu Taylor actor Danny Walters will leave EastEnders this Christmas.

The on-screen couple are expecting their first child together, but Louise's beau Keanu is also secretly the father of her step-mum Sharon Mitchell's (Letitia Dean) baby.

The dramatic twist is set to unravel this Christmas with Louise explosively finding out about her boyfriend and step-mum's secret love affair.

Soap bosses have promised when the secret is exposed, Walford and the Mitchell family  will change forever.

Danny, who is quitting EastEnders after two-and-a-half years, has teased that Keanu's storyline will come to a 'dramatic and blistering conclusion' when Phil Mitchell discovers his daughter's boyfriend got his wife pregnant.

This week, viewers are going to see Louise go into early labour after her waters break while she is at home alone.

The tot will be named Peggy after her great grandmother in a heartfelt tribute to EastEnders veteran Barbara Windsor.
