EastEnders star teases more than one killer in Christmas death twist as victim 'sealed'

EastEnders could see more than one character confess to murder this Christmas, after a flashforward clip revealed a death twist was on the way.

There are currently six suspects for the crime that seemingly takes place at The Queen Vic pub, while the mystery male victim is not yet confirmed - while one star has teased it could well be his character.

Viewers have been predicting who will die after a series of clues, with there also being speculation as to who the killer is. Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar, Sharon Watts, Linda Carter and Denise Fox are the women under suspicion thanks to the clip.

It's been teased one of the women will murder the man, but all of the women in the clip are either injured in someway or have ripped clothes, or are holding a weapon so it could really be anyone.

But now there's another possible clue, as Kathy actress Gillian Taylforth has hinted there could be more than one killer - or at least more than one person will confess to the crime.

While the killer's identity remains under wraps for now, she told press that there's a chance all of the women could band together to protect the culprit.

She explained: "We’ve been sitting round and pondered who it could be. At one stage, I thought the body could be me. Then I remembered that I’m stood over them in the purple dress.

"It could be something like the Orient Express where we’ve all killed him, or her, and we all say, 'It’s us!' and we all stick up for one another. We’ve got no idea whatsoever."

Meanwhile her co-star Brian Conley, who plays Kathy's partner Rocky, teased he could be the victim lying on the floor, hinting at his and his fellow cast's "worry" over the twist.

He said of the twist ahead: "You can't cheat the audience, there's gonna be something big that's gonna happen at Christmas. I've got a bit of a shiver now! And we do all sit there in the green room going: 'Is it you? Is it you?'

"What he's introduced as well, Chris, is really big characters. And I think that's what drives it; you don't want the one story to be the focus. Now we've got five big stories that'll keep that ball up there."

He added: "I think you should be worried for everyone, we’re worried as actors, we genuinely are. In the lead up to Christmas there will be 10 people and you’ll go, it’s them, it’s them!

"We do talk about it and none of us have got a clue. Online, they have their own theories – someone said that because the women are dressed in different colours, that it’s the London Underground map!"

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
