EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy, 37, has confirmed she is back on set filming scenes as Sonia Fowler after a break from the soap.
Sonia is a nurse and was last seen struggling to cope with the stress of the pandemic before her colleague Ash Kaur convinced her to take a break.
So Sonia decided to travel to India to visit her daughter Bex, who she shares with ex Martin Fowler.
Natalie posted some photos of herself and the show's set, alongside the caption: "This smile is my 'I AM GOING TO WORK' smile".
In one selfie, she poses with a member of the EastEnders crew who was wearing high vis and they were both donning face coverings as part of the soap's Covid restrictions.
She wrote in the caption that she had missed him, before another video where she revealed that as soon as she put Sonia's cardigan on in the costume department, "Sonia's back".
"She's still got her cardigans," Natalie told the camera. "I've missed her."
EastEnders also recently revealed Nancy Carter is returning to the soap after five years away, with Maddy Hill reprising her role as Mick and Linda Carter's daughter.
She is back, much to the Carter family’s surprise, after settling down to start married life in New Zealand with her husband Tamwar (Himesh Patel).
Nancy’s arrival is sure to delight Mick and Linda, but what brings her back to East London from the other side of the world remains to be seen - and is Tamwar with her?
Maddy gushed: "I’m SO excited to be coming back and reconnecting with all the hilarious, warm, talented cast and crew and meeting some lovely new faces.
"I absolutely loved playing Nancy and have often wondered what she’s up to, so feel very grateful to be able to rediscover her 5 years on!"
