EastEnders star Louisa Lytton gets unlikely parenting practice before her wedding day

EastEnders star Louisa Lytton, 31, is getting in a bit of parenting practice before her upcoming nuptials.

But it’s not with a pet, instead, it’s with her fiance’s beloved drone.

The actress, who plays Ruby Allen, is due to tie the knot in August.

But after celebrating the first anniversary of getting engaged on Wednesday, she revealed soon-to-be hubby Ben Bhanvra is already exhibiting a lot of parental unconditional love, but for his for his photo-taking gadget.

"Ben’s drone...It’s like our pet,” laughed Louisa.

She added: "It comes everywhere with us. It drives me mad".

The drone even accompanied them on a romantic stroll this week.

Louisa also had a drone demonstration before her love proposed in the Maldives last year.

And it will definitely have its own pride of place on their wedding day - whenever that may end up being.

Louisa, who’s been in constant contact with her Enders’ co-stars, has tried not to panic about her big day amid the coronavirus pandemic.

But seeing as her planned wedding day in York is just three months away, she is unsure whether it’ll go ahead, or if it does whether their friends and family will be able to be there.

"We don’t have a clue what we’re doing, or what the best thing to do is,” she said in an Instagram Live chat with presenter and Enders’ fan Gabby Roslin.

While they wait and see what happens, she and businessman Ben have been posting lockdown cookery demonstrations - a lovely way to spend time together.

"Although Ben and I live together he’s busy with work and I’m busy with ...trying to exercise,” she laughed.

"We started doing the demos and putting them on Instagram, now they will serve as a reminder of this crazy time when we were all locked up".

"I hope things don’t get too crazy in the kitchen. Not in front of the drone".
