EastEnders star Lacey Turner has welcomed her first child with husband Matt Kay.
The actress reportedly gave birth to a baby girl on 12 July, and is ‘over the moon and filled with joy’, according to OK!
The star, who plays Stacey Turner on the BBC soap, shares her first child with Kay - who she married in 2017 – has previously spoken openly about her previous miscarriages.
Speaking about her pregnancy earlier this year, Lacey told the publication: “I can’t wait to nurture our baby – we’ve dreamed of having a family for so long.
“When you’ve lost babies all you care about is the heartbeat – we’ve had about 12 scans.
“It felt like my whole world had fallen to pieces and there’s nothing you can do apart from try and put it back together”.
She celebrated her bundle of joy just weeks ago with a baby shower in her north London home, but she has also previously admitted to "blaming herself" over her miscarriages.
She added: “I blamed myself thinking that I’d done something wrong. I’d think, why me? What did I do? But, of course, I hadn’t done anything wrong – it’s all down to chromosomes and luck, really."
She told This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that she refused to get her hopes up about this pregnancy
She told them: “Oh, well don't get excited.
"I ignored it until I was 10 weeks. I thought maybe that would work.
“I got to seven weeks and thought, 'don't get excited,' then eight, nine, my family would say it was time and I told my mum not to talk about it.
“It wasn't until I got to about 20 weeks and then I thought, 'ooh, maybe we are going to have a baby.'”
