EastEnders star Deepak Verma has left some morning TV viewers questioning themselves after he was spotted in an unexpected cameo today.
The actor - who found fame after starring as Sanjay Kapoor in the hit soap - made a surprise appearance on BBC News as he wandered on a beach in Hastings.
As BBC reporter Dan Johnson walked along the beach to see if people disregarded the government's latest lockdown rules, he stumbled upon an interviewee.
But little did Dan know the man he was about to interview was none other than EastEnders star Deepak, who described the isolated beach as a scene from The Walking Dead.
Deepak told Dan: "It's all empty, it's like the Walking Dead. All the restaurants are all closed."

Despite Dan not knowing who he was interviewing, the cameo left EastEnders fans excited to see Sanjay long after his stint on the BBC soap.
Fans were instantly left nostalgic after hearing him chat to Dan, and some even called for him to make a comeback on the series.
Following the interview, Dan finally realised he was in the presence of a 90s soap legend.

He took to Twitter to let it be known, penning: "On a bizarre day in an upside down world, accidentally interviewing Sanjay from Eastenders for the news wasn't the strangest thing that happened. Latest @BBCNews now, BBC1."
He then tweeted: "As if I was going to say 'and now the thoughts of Sanjay off of Eastenders'. Then played the doof, doof doof doof bit after him."
Deepak shot to fame playing cheeky market trader Sanjay Kapoor in Albert Square for five years.

The actor left Walford in 1998 and since then he has gone on to become a successful film and telly producer – as well as appearing in Holby City, White Teeth and Doctors.
And in 2017, fans were shocked but delighted to see him pop up in ITV show The Good Karma Hospital.
Now Deepak is venturing to Hollywood, having landed himself a US agent – and becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
