EastEnders' Stacey Slater collapses and rushed to hospital in sepsis horror

Stacey Slater will collapse after suffering from sepsis and is raced to the hospital in nail-biting episodes on EastEnders.

Next week on the BBC soap, Stacey (Lacey Turner) is left dismissing Jean's concerns over an injury she received from her mum the previous week.

Noticing her mum's concern, Stacey is hopeful that Jean might be getting better.

However, Kat ( Jessie Wallace ) spots Stacey's wound and wonders whether Jean should be in hospital.

Meanwhile, Stacey bumps into Kheerat, who realises that something isn't right with her, leading Stacey to explain what Jean did to her.

Kheerat is shocked when Stacey collapses and it's later revealed that Stacey's life is at risk as she could be developing sepsis.

Deeply concerned, Kheerat tells the doctor about what happened between Stacey and Jean.

Martin later arrives at the hospital and he and Kheerat are relieved to hear that doctors were able to stop the infection in time.

Realising how much Stacey means to him after nearly losing her, Kheerat asks her whether they can officially be together.

However, their happiness is very short-lived after Stacey discovers that a mental health nurse has gone to visit Jean after Kheerat told the doctor what happened between them.

Back at the Slater house, Jean locks herself in the bathroom as Kat, Eve and Lily try to comfort her - just as the nurse arrives at the worst time.

Even though she's still not well, Stacey rushes home to see Jean and is furious at Kheerat for breaching her trust.

Will Martin be able to get her to see sense?
