EastEnders ' Peter Beale and Ash Panesar's new relationship is tested when Ash's scheming mum Suki takes action, as Ash remains suspended from her job as a doctor for administering pain medication to Peter while off the clock.
Kathy Beale interrupts Peter and Ash sharing a moment - and Ash dashes out, mortified.
Kathy scolds Peter for not giving Lauren and Louie much of his time now that he has a new girlfriend, but a phone call interrupts her.
Peter and Ash meet up later and end up going back to her empty house to sleep together - but suddenly Suki arrives home and reveals she knows Ash has been suspended.
Ash and Suki are in a fiery stand-off with Peter stuck in the middle as Suki says Ash is throwing her career away for Peter – but the new couple are determined that everything will be cleared up at Ash’s hearing.
Suki demands that Ash do anything necessary to get her job back and Peter assures Ash that he will say he gave himself the meds.
The hospital board prepare to make their decision today as Suki reminds her daughter that she relied on a Beale - hitting Ash where it hurts.
Peter asks after Ash and Suki smugly reckons that they’re over now after what he did but a comment from Peter seems to strike a chord with cold-hearted Suki.
Later, at the hospital, Suki introduces herself to the consultant wanting a word about her daughter.
Ash arrives at Sharon’s party and Peter apologises just as the hospital calls - what will they say?
Not happy that Ash and Peter have made up, Suki reveals she threatened Ash’s boss, and an enraged Ash has some nasty words for her mother, who acts unphased and leaves.
Elsewhere, as Bernie and Bailey reminisce about their dog Bronson, Mitch is explains that his new job has fallen through when a stray dog runs off with Bailey’s hotdog.
Bailey sees the dog as a sign but when Mitch tells Karen that Bailey wants to keep him, Karen admits they cannot afford to.
Mitch explains that Bailey is heartbroken over losing Bronson, so Rainie enlists Stuart’s help to find the stray dog.
After a few mishaps, Stuart and Mitch catch him, and Bailey is over the moon - Karen dampens the mood - insisting they cannot keep him.
Karen is upset when Banjo ruins her shoes, but softens when Mitch tries to reason with her.
Mitch later spots a missing dog poster at the Minute Mart, and realises it’s Banjo.
Karen agrees to let Banjo stay so Mitch guiltily rips up the missing poster, wanting to do right for Bailey.
