EastEnders spoilers: Major character killed off as brutal storyline confirmed

EastEnders spoilers have confirmed that a character will die this week as a brutal storyline was confirmed.

Episodes of the BBC soap have been made available to watch early on iPlayer due to the football, but it doesn't mean there's any less drama.

Sadly, Kheerat (Jaz Deol) will find out that his brother Jags (Amar Adatia) has been killed in prison - after Ben Mitchell failed to protect him.

Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) was left incredibly concerned about the wellbeing of her son Jags, after she learned that he was in severe danger.

He had been in prison since October after being sentenced to four years behind bars for a crime he did not commit, after Suki set him up.

Despite the family paying Ben to have Jags protected, Ben called it off after seeing Kheerat looking loved up with Sharon.

And sadly, Jags paid the ultimate price and was harmed in his cell.

Suki informed Kheerat of the news after he approached her to announce that he had called off his romance with Sharon and had decided to put his family first.

But it's unsure how he will react to the devastating news and may need a shoulder to cry on in the form of his lover.

Meanwhile, Suki confronted Ben and screamed that she had paid him to protect her child.

Ben was later seen confessing to Callum that he was the one who had cancelled the protection.

"I called off Jags' protection and now he's dead," Ben admitted, as a shocked Callum looked on.

"I'm an idiot because I didn't think anything was going to happen," he said when Callum asked why he had done it.

"Callum, he could still be alive if it wasn't me," he continued. "If Kheerat finds out they will kill me... I'm not joking Cal."

"Then we’ll make sure they never find out," the policeman replied as he vowed to protect his husband from the Panesar family.

In heartbreaking scenes later in the week, Suki was seen blaming her other son for Jags' death as the family tried to come to terms with the tragedy.
