EastEnders spoilers: Keanu Taylor's murder threatens to tear the Mitchells apart

Cracks begin to show in the Mitchell family in the New Year, as they struggle to cope with their killer secret.

Phil Mitchell, son Ben and daughter Louise are covering up the murder of Keanu Taylor after explosive Christmas scenes.

Louise's fiancé appeared to be shot dead by Martin Fowler, after Ben blackmailed him into carrying out the murder.

Ben had told dad Phil he would help get rid of Keanu, after his affair with Phil's wife Sharon - as well as the fact he is the father of her unborn baby - was exposed.

Louise then plotted to flee with Keanu, only for it to be a set-up with her helping Ben and Martin to capture him.

Amid theories over Keanu's true fate after the announcement of a special flashback episode on New Year's Day, the Mitchells are not coping well with recent events.

As the cover-up continues, secrets and lies threaten to tear the family apart.

Louise begins to struggle with life as a single mum to baby daughter Peggy, fresh from her part in Keanu's death.

This leads to her clashing with brother Ben who continues to badmouth stepmother Sharon for her affair.

The family arguments take their toll on the new mum, who flees the house with stepbrother Denny, only to be approached by Keanu's mother Karen Taylor.

Louise later confides in her mother Lisa Fowler about her fears for Peggy, but soon she and Ben are clashing again.

Ben offers her some harsh words, as tensions simmer between the guilty Mitchell siblings, while Phil struggles with his wife's betrayal.

Later on in the week, Ben tries to reassure his sister as he spends some time with her and little Peggy.

But with Louise at breaking point, and Ben and Phil filled with fury, is it only a matter of time before one of them cracks?

If they do fall apart, their killer secret, and Martin's, could come to light with shocking consequences for all involved.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
