EastEnders spoilers: Ian struggles to hide death guilt as killer truth unravels

EastEnders spoilers have teased the walls are closing in on guilty Ian Beale, over his part in Dennis Rickman's death.

Dennis was tragically killed off in the boat crash last week, drowning after Ian attempted to save him.

But just before their dramatic boat escape, Ian had locked Dennis in a room on the lower deck after learning he'd been behind the online bullying aimed at his son Bobby.

It led to Bobby being attacked and left for dead in a brutal Islamophobic attack.

Ian locked Dennis in to teach him a lesson, ultimately leading to his death as he couldn't get off the boat in time.

While Ian did go back for Denny, the son of her best friend Sharon Mitchell, he wasn't able to save him.

He now lives with the guilt of what he did, with no one knowing the truth.

Dotty Cotton and Bex Fowler knew all about Bobby and Dennis, and the fact Ian knew the truth though.

On the boat, Dotty was there when Ian headed off before chasing Dennis downstairs, leading to him locking him in.

All this week, Ian is praised for risking his life to try and save Dennis, leaving him in turmoil.

Knowing he was the reason Dennis was trapped, Ian struggles to keep his secret but continues to hide the true details about what happened from everyone.

His behaviour only encourages people to grow suspicious, with cryptic spoilers now thought to be about him - given Dotty confronts him next week, after finding out he did something to Dennis.

The spoilers read: "As everyone tries to get back to normal following recent events, one person’s lies begin to unravel.

"Doubts begin to form in more than one person’s mind leading someone to desperately try and cover their tracks, aware that if the truth every came out the consequences would be devastating."

Later on this week, Sharon will ask Ian about how her son died and what happened in his final moments, only for them to be interrupted by Bex and Dotty.

But with characters growing suspicious of him, including Dotty and his son Peter, is it only a matter of time before the truth is out?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
