EastEnders sign up Coronation Street legend as new crime-fighting cop

Samantha Seager is about to swap the Cobbles for Albert Square after making a soap swap, it has been reported.

EastEnders fans look set to be seeing another former Coronation Street favourite in Walford in the coming weeks and this one hopes to serve up a little justice.

Samantha, 48, will be playing a no-nonsense detective and that's very bad news for Nish Panesar.

DS Miles will arrive and is about to try and stop him firmly in his tracks.

Samantha, who bed-hopping Jodie Morton in Corrie back in 2007, is going to make her telly return in the BBC soap.

Jodie was part of the Morton family and is remembered for her fierce rivalry with Cilla Battersby.

It will be a very different role in EastEnders and Nish has plenty to be worried about, The Sun report.

He has been controlling his wife Suki and in Wednesday night's episode, he was seen standing over as she laid lifeless with bad injuries.

Fearing Nish had hurt her, Vinny looked worried as they all immediately called an ambulance and Suki was rushed to hospital for investigations and treatment as she closed her eyes.

Actor Navin Chowdhry has teased to The Mirror how it will all play out for the couple.

"Whatever you’re used to seeing with Suki and Nish previously, it goes up a notch - if it can - this week."

Navin also revealed that things would definitely turn "nuclear" when Nish finds out about Suki's betrayal with Eve.

"When Nish finds out, I think it’s going to be absolutely nuclear. It’s going to be awful on so many levels. In his own head, he feels betrayed, cheated and lied to and humiliated," he explained to us of how it all might play out.

"A narcissist like Nish can’t cope with that kind of stuff happening to him. I think, expect some big things if or when he comes out."

In tense and tough to watch scenes on Wednesday night's episode of the BBC soap, Suki yelled at him as she said: "I spent my whole life trying to be someone I'm not supposed to be. Walking a path I should never have walked, played a role I should never have played.

"I hurt my children because of you and people that I love - I'm not doing it anymore."
