EastEnders Sheree's mystery caller confirmed as secret son Isaac Baptiste

Sheree Trueman's mystery caller was finally confirmed on EastEnders tonight as her son Isaac Baptiste.

However her son has a troubled past and there is a reason why Sheree has kept him a secret from her family.

During this evening's flashback episode to Christmas Day, Denise demanded that Sheree leave after becoming convinced that she was cheating on Patrick.

When she left the house, it emerged that she had actually been in contact with her son Isaac.

Actor Stevie Basaula has been cast as Isaac, whose bold personality is set to ruffle some feathers as he isn't afraid to speak his mind.

Stevie has said that he feels "blessed" to have become part of the BBC soap.

He said: "I feel very blessed to be a part of such an iconic show. Like many of us around the country, EastEnders is something I’ve grown up with so it excites me to be bringing to life the part of Isaac.”

Executive producer Jon Sen added: "We’re thrilled to welcome Stevie to EastEnders. We’ve teased the character of Isaac - the ‘other man’ in Sheree’s life - ever since her arrival six months ago.

"Today Isaac has arrived on the Square with bravado, charisma and his fair share of charm. A teacher with a troubled past, his story will unfold over the coming weeks as we discover just why Sheree has kept him away from Patrick these last few months.”

*EastEnders returns tomorrow at 7.30pm on BBC One
