EastEnders: Sean Slater actor Rob Kazinsky teases future return

EastEnders favourite Sean Slater makes a brief return to the soap over the next week, and actor Rob Kazinsky has hinted that he could be back on a more permanent basis.

After fleeing Walford in 2009, Jean Slater’s son will return tonight and it quickly emerges that he’s hiding something huge.

Sadly, the soap confirmed Sean’s stay will only be brief.

However, Rob has dropped a huge hint that he's keen to come back for more, revealing there were two things he would have liked to have filmed more of - such as work with Jessie Wallace, who plays his on-screen cousin.

EastEnders: Who is Sean Slater, who plays him and what happened with Amy and Ruby?

Rob said: “It would have been brilliant to do more with her but as I’m back for such a short amount of time we couldn’t.”

And Rob also said he'd been keen to work with Sean’s ex Ruby Allen, whose dad his character triggered to have a fatal heart attack.

Rob wanted to film more scenes with Jessie Wallace (BBC / Kieron McCarron)

He said: “I would have loved more with Ruby too, I wanted desperately for Sean to realise that what he did to Johnny Allen was wrong, he took someone’s father.

“And I would have loved for him and Ruby to have scenes where Sean realised what he had actually done all those years ago and say sorry.”

As to whether Albert Square will play a part in his future, he said, “I don’t know, there’s been times in my life where I thought I’d never come back, yet here I am.

Sean Slater is back on EastEnders this week (BBC / Kieron McCarron)

“I have to say I’ve enjoyed every single second of it. I’m not sure what more there would be for Sean, but as long as Stacey and the Slaters are there, there’s always a reason for Sean to return but you don’t know that’s going to happen in the future.

“It’s been ten years and I love this character, these people, this place, so never say never…”

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
