EastEnders rules out more Ian Beale suspects as new evidence comes to light

EastEnders aired revealing scenes on Tuesday night, amid a confession of a shocking murder.

As the investigation into who attacked Ian Beale continued, another victim came to light.

Stuart Highway confessed to accidentally murdering DI Thompson, and this clearly ruled him out of being a suspect in Ian's attack as it happened the same night.

His wife Rainie soon shared her own whereabouts on the night of the attack, sadly confessing to relapsing.

The drug addict revealed she was too busy "getting high" to have been at the scene of the crime.

So that sees Rainie and Stuart ruled out it seems, joining Bobby Beale and Tina Carter on the list.

Ben Mitchell also appeared to be ruled out after his arrest on Monday.

He was at the scene of the crime, shown in a flashback, but it seems someone else got there before him.

However, his secret could be blown no thanks to another suspect, Suki Panesar.

She had earlier claimed her CCTV was not set up or working on the night of the attack.

But this was a lie, as on Tuesday she informed Ben she had watched back the footage and seen him leave The Vic around the time of the attack.

Suki blackmailed him for money to stay silent - but surely this means she also did not carry out the attack.

That said, her alibi was her being at the club, with her staring at the camera - so clearly she needed an alibi for something.

Her and son Kheerat are hiding something, with blood found in the back of his rented van by police.

So could she have got him to carry out the crime, or is something about to rule them both out too?

If it does that means either someone is lying and is in fact guilty, or the list is becoming smaller by the episode.

Peter Beale, Max Branning, Linda Carter, Sharon Mitchell and Dotty Cotton are all names that have been thrown into the mix as the attacker.

All will be revealed this Christmas, but details are being kept under wraps for now.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
