EastEnders' Ruby Allen's deadly secret exposed to horrified husband Martin

EastEnders' Martin Fowler finally learned the truth about his wife Ruby Allen being involved in a recent incident, where he was left for dead.

Fans may recall that Vinny Panesar brutally attacked Martin last year, leaving him bleeding on the floor of the Minute Mart.

He'd teamed up with Ruby to stage a robbery at her club, wanting to claim on the venue's insurance.

Things went wrong though as Martin chased the mystery robbery, who was in fact Vinny, through the square only to be hit over the head.

Martin was taken to hospital and confirmed to be okay, but was unconscious in the initial fallout.

Vinny's brother Jags was set up for the crime by his own mother Suki, after she disapproved of his romance with Habiba.

Jags' family allowed him to go to prison and lied about what really happened, with this meaning Ruby was also protected.

Habiba has constantly tried to prove her partner's innocence, and after leaving Walford she discovered she was pregnant.

Her sister Iqra recently split with Jags' sister Ash, after uncovering the fact she and her family covered up Vinny's and Ruby's lies, and allowed Jags to go to prison.

Gutted by what had happened to her sister, now preparing to raise a baby alone, she decided to get revenge.

Martin made a comment about having no sympathy for Habiba or Jags because he almost died after what happened to him, believing Jags was to blame.

As Ruby realised she knew the truth, she warned Iqra to stay quiet "if she knew what was good for her".

Iqra refused, and soon headed to Martin's house to spill the beans - telling him Ruby was lying, and knew who really attacked him.

She then dropped the confession that Jags was innocent, and Ruby was involved in the robbery that led to the attack and stayed silent.

He was visibly shocked by the bombshell, but what will he do with the information?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
