EastEnders reveals Lacey Turner's exit storyline after Stacey 'kills' Phil

EastEnders fans got a shock last night when Phil Mitchell was seemingly killed by Stacey Fowler.

It appears the Albert Square badboy may finally have got his comeuppance after being whacked with a spanner and falling into the garage pit.

Viewers were stunned when they discovered it was Stacey that has possibly murdered Phil in a massive 'doof doof' moment.

Lacey Turner is currently on maternity leave after giving birth to her miracle baby daughter - Dusty Violet Kay - with husband Matt Kay.

This means that the 30-year-old actress will be missing from our screens for some time - so how will her character exit.

It's not looking very good for Phil, who will get wheeled into an ambulance and taken into intensive care.

If he dies, then Stacey could be looking at a murder charge and be placed behind bars for a very long time.

However, there are a lot of possible suspects as Phil had bust-ups with multiple Albert Square residents before he was attacked.

Kat Slater is in the firing line as she was spotted taunting Phil in the Queen Vic before he violently grabbed hold of her in the garage.

She was saved by Martin Fowler, who got into a fight with Phil and was nearly killed before Stacey intervened.

Stacey could argue that she hit Phil while trying to defend her husband, so she may only be put behind bars for a short time.

Phil also clashed with Ben after his furious son discovered he had been written out of his dad's will.

While Phil also had a very public shouting match with Keanu Taylor after he threatened to take Louise and their baby away.

One of the other suspects may go down for hitting Phil, but the guilt may drive Stacey away from Walford temporarily.

Stacey could go on the run (BBC)

There is also the possibility that Stacey will go on the run to avoid justice.

Stacey has previous on this as she flew abroad after being framed for stabbing Janine Butcher.

How will Stacey leave Albert Square?
