EastEnders reveals concern for Sharon in fallout to son Dennis attacking her

EastEnders’ Sharon Mitchell reels from son Dennis’ attack on her on Friday, spoilers have revealed.

The character was stunned as Denny turned violent, and punched her in the face at the end of Thursday’s instalment.

In the scenes that follow, Sharon will be left struggling, unsure how to deal with her child’s violent outburst.

She seeks advice from husband Phil and pal Linda on how to deal with her troubled son, while it’s not confirmed whether she tells them what he’s done.

Sharon realises she may have been too soft on her son, and tries to take a firmer approach with him, but will she manage to gain control?

The mother and son had come to blows on Thursday, after she discovered his involvement in a gang.

After Sharon confronted Tiffany, accusing her of grooming Denny after introducing him to the gang, she stormed back round to the house to speak with her child.

She wasn’t getting anywhere though, as Dennis fumed at her for ruining his chances with the gang.

Sharon tried to make him see sense, warning him not to go back to the boys, including Stix, as they were dangerous.

Suddenly Dennis ran off, accusing her of not caring about him and claiming he hated her.

Sharon raced after him towards the stairs, telling him she wasn’t finished talking.

But a furious Dennis didn’t want to talk, and soon turned violent against his own mum when she grabbed him to stop him from fleeing to his room.

At the end of Thursday’s episode, the teenager punched his mum in the face leaving her stunned.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm.
