EastEnders' Phil tracks down son Raymond amid Denise's plan to keep them apart

EastEnders viewers will see the moment Phil Mitchell learns the truth about his son Raymond very soon, spoilers confirm.

The Walford hard man has been kept in the dark about little Raymond's recent accident, that led to the deaths of his adoptive family.

Denise Fox gave birth to Raymond in 2017, after a one-night stand with Phil but she decided to have the baby adopted.

Three years on, Denise recently learned of a tragic accident and soon discovered that the young toddler fighting for his life in hospital was Raymond.

She has secretly visited him since, faking her identity to the child's adoptive grandmother Ellie Nixon, but kept the news a secret from Phil.

She in fact decided not to tell him at all, fearing he would get caught up in the Mitchells' criminal world.

Next week, after Denise decided to stop visiting Raymond in fear Phil would find out, it seems her sacrifice is for nothing.

Phil soon learns the truth, and it isn't long before he's at the hospital.

After finding out, Monday's episode sees him asking son-in-law Callum Highway to look into the family who adopted him.

His search brings up little, leading to Phil heading to the hospital later on in the week.

When he gets there, Phil feels an instant bond with the son he hasn't seen in three years.

He strikes a conversation up with Ellie, but makes up his identity and his reason for being there.

But will she learn the truth, and how will she react?

Denise will no doubt be horrified to learn Phil has been to see the little one too, with more to come in the storyline.

EastEnders airs Mondays at 8:05pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:35pm, and Fridays at 8:30pm on BBC One.
