EastEnders' Mila hides a dark secret after claim homophobic family are hunting her

EastEnders ' Mila Marwa (Ruhtxjiaïh Bèllènéa) may be hiding something in upcoming scenes after revealing her homophobic religious family are after her and she is hiding from them.

Prince Albert bartender Mila won the job when up against Kim Fox - who later launched her own dating company, The Fox Catcher.

Mila signed up and got matched with Iqra Ahmed, fresh from her split with Ash Panesar.

The Fox Catcher was profiled in the Walford Gazette, and Kim tells the journalist all about her success stories - just as Iqra walks in.

Kim insists on using Iqra as a case study, much to her surprise, and persuades Mila to take part too, but secretly, Mila is filled with dread.

At the Walford East, Kim, Iqra and Mila prepare for their Gazette feature, but things turn sour when the photographer snapping a photograph sends Mila into meltdown.

Kim persuades a mortified Iqra to give Mila another chance after she caused a scene, and they later share a heart to heart.

(BBC)

Iqra confesses her feelings as Mila explains her family’s religious beliefs and homophobia caused her to leave home and change her name, and says she desperately does not want them to find her.

Iqra is understanding and promises no more secrets, but Mila’s smile drops, hinting she is hiding more than she has let on.

The following week, Iqra is horrified when Kim tells her the picture from the photoshoot has been posted online.

(BBC)

When Iqra breaks the news to Mila and explains that the post was only up for a few hours, Mila panics, but is touched that Iqra is so apologetic and assures Iqra that she’s fine, hiding her worry.

Is there another, secret reason Mila does not want her family tracking her down? Or is she hiding from someone else altogether?
