EastEnders' Mick Carter suffered secret child abuse, fans predict after Frankie bombshell

EastEnders fans fear that there is a dark twist in store after Mick Carter after he discovered that Frankie was his daughter.

On Monday, Mick wouldn't believe Frankie when she initially suggested that she was his daughter.

However, he seemed have look visibly shell-shocked when Frankie told him the name of her mum - Katy Lewis.

It also appeared to trigger a panic attack for the former Queen Vic owner, which led some viewers to believe that her mum could have abused Mick when he was a child.

This would coincide with the actors' ages as Danny Dyer, who plays Mick, is 43 and actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, who plays Frankie, is 30.

Taking the actors' ages into consideration, if this is also their characters' ages, Mick would have had to have been around 12 or 13 when Frankie was conceived.

Could Frankie's mum have been Mick's teacher at school? Or another adult he had been around while growing up?

Fans took to Twitter to speculate, with one tweeting: "There’s so much more to Mick’s story. Frankie showing up as his daughter wouldn’t trigger his panic and anger like that if he was in a normal relationship with her mum. There’s something behind it all. The past is clearly haunting him. #EastEnders."

While another commented: "Do we know how old Frankie is meant to be and how old Mick is meant to be? She’s like 27 he’s what 41? Was her mum a predatory teacher? #Eastenders"

A third wrote: "There are a lot of rumours flying around about that how Mick was abused when he was in care and how he did not know that Frankie existed."

"I'm still going with Mick was abused in care and it resulted in a child," another suggested.

*EastEnders airs Mondays at 8.05pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.35pm and Fridays at 8.30pm on BBC One
