EastEnders Mick Carter could DIE after shock heart attack collapse

EastEnders fans are in for a spot of foul play as Mick Carter collapses with what looks like a heart attack at a kids' footie match.

Referee Mick, played by Danny Dyer, tumbles to the pitch in a dramatic storyline being filmed for the BBC soap.

He clutches his chest following a bust-up with an angry parent while Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) and a young woman rush to his aid.

Mick collapses to the ground clutching his chest - sparking a major new storyline for popular Danny.

But has he suffered a heart attack or is there another underlying health problem?

An EastEnders source told the Daily Star Sunday: "Mick's got a lot of stress in his life and hasn't really been taking care of his physical or mental health.

"He's running a boozer, juggling being a husband and a dad, working with Mitch coaching the football team, and then there's little Ollie's autism assessment.

"It's all set to contribute to his overall health and wellbeing in the coming weeks."

Danny was seen filming the shocking scenes on location last week.

And Mick's collapse will lead to even more drama for the Carters.

The source added: "Mick and Mitch are training the kids' football team.

"As they all take part in a match towards the end of the session, Mick is refereeing but fails to spot a blatant foul which leads to a heated confrontation with the child's dad."

The angry father runs on to the pitch and screams in Mick's face. Mitch steps in to break things up but as Mick walks away from the altercation, he keels over clutching his chest.

"Mitch rushes over and quickly realises the severity of the situation and screams for someone to call an ambulance. It's all pretty scary stuff," said the source.

Last week, Mick finally found out Ollie was showing signs of autism after wife Linda (Kellie Bright) had kept the doctors' initial findings from him.

EastEnders bosses are working with the National Autistic Society to get the storyline right. The show continues on BBC One at 8pm tomorrow.
