EastEnders' Mick Carter confronts Linda after baby paternity bombshell

EastEnders will air the tense fallout to Linda Carter's baby paternity twist on Thursday evening, with husband Mick left reeling.

Danny Dyer's character learned in a recent episode that his wife and the mother to his four children was pregnant.

Linda actress Kellie Bright is also pregnant in real life, with her confirming the exciting news earlier this year.

Back in Walford, there was tension as Linda's baby news came with a twist.

She told her husband the baby wasn't his, after realising the dates did not match up - following a tough time for the couple over the past year.

New pictures for the next episode of the BBC soap, to air on Thursday night, see Mick unable to even look at his wife as he tries to process her confession.

A worried Linda watches on as though she is urging him to discuss the news, but will Mick manage to give Linda the support she needs?

Linda revealed the father of the baby was former Walford resident Max Branning, who she shared a brief romance with late last year.

The fling left viewers divided, while many were upset given the turmoil Mick was facing alone at the time as he struggled to open up to anyone.

He had yet to reveal to Linda or anyone that he had been sexually abused as a child, and now his abuser Katy Lewis was back in his life - with him also learning he had a secret daughter, Frankie.

Around this time his marriage broke down and Linda left him, not sure why he didn't want to talk to her or be around her anymore because she didn't realise what he was going through.

But when Mick revealed his traumatic ordeal she immediately ditched Max and vowed to stick by him forever, giving him the support he needed.

Max has now left Walford for good, and just months on Linda made the discovery she was expecting another child.

She will be left torn though after revealing the unborn baby's true paternity, as Mick struggles to come to terms with it.

Linda is unsure if he will support her, but could this tear the couple apart?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
