EastEnders’ Louisa Lytton scraps wedding but will tie the knot after having a baby

Pregnant Eastenders star Louisa Lytton has revealed she's cancelled her wedding plans and will now wait until after she's given birth to tie the knot to fiancé Ben Bhavra.

Like a lot of couples last year, the Ruby Allen actress has twice had to cancel their big day due to the Covid pandemic and the pair had hoped to make things official before their first baby arrives in the autumn.

But she has now revealed all plans for a big bash - with around 200 guests- are 'scrapped'.

Louisa, 32, told OK! : "We've cancelled the wedding altogether now.

"We've decided to scrap the whole thing and start again with our plans.

"We're going to have the baby and focus on that and then get married once we're ready.

"We'd already postponed it twice and the wedding we were going to have is massive - we had nearly 200 people."

But she later added:"We will get married but when everything is relaxed and people feel safe. I wouldn't want people to feel on edge."

The popular actress, who reprised her role as Ruby Allen in 2018, also shared insight into her wedding plans on Instagram as she showed followers her wedding dress which is still yet to be collected.

Ben's proposal was memorable for perhaps all the wrong reasons as despite a romantic Maldives jet away - a rather awkward but hilarious incident happened when a cleaner walked in during the proposal.

Fortunately it kept things 'real' on the trip which was a double celebration for Louisa's 30th birthday.

The Strictly Come Dancing star later revealed on Mother's Day she was expecting their first child.

She told Loose Women panelists: "Basically I said to Ben, let’s start trying, it doesn’t look like the wedding’s happening, and then we fell pregnant and now officially our wedding could go ahead.

"But it’s too late now, so… it’s all gone out the window. But it’s fine!"
