EastEnders lines up double exit after death horror - as a third character could leave too

Two EastEnders residents decide to leave Walford next week, according to spoilers for the BBC soap.

A third resident could also leave the show, amid a recent death on the BBC soap.

The decision comes as residents mourn the loss of one character, who remains missing and presumed dead after a horrifying accident.

Just weeks ago, Mick Carter appeared to be killed off and seemingly drowned after rescuing Janine Butcher from the water.

She had crashed her car off a cliff with Linda Carter also in the car, while Linda managed to swim to safety.

Mick didn't know this and swam out to find her, before he disappeared and he has not been seen since.

With Janine now gone having been arrested for her involvement in the incident as well as what she did to Linda earlier in the year, her daughter Scarlett is left struggling.

Linda has left Walford for the time being, and with Mick not coming back Scarlett is relying on her uncle Ricky Butcher for support.

Ricky recently made a comeback to Walford, after hearing Janine was struggling amid her wedding to Mick.

But he turned his back on her once he found out what had happened to Mick, and he called the police on her.

Since then, Ricky has been caring for Scarlett and has decided he wants to be her guardian after all she has been through.

The decision leads to both of them deciding to move away back to Germany, where Ricky has lived for the past few years.

Ricky, who has recently reembarked on romance with ex Sam Mitchell, decides he wants to go home, and wants his niece to move back with him.

Soon enough he plots his and Scarlett's departure, and Sam is left with a decision to make of her own.

Will she leave for Germany with Ricky after getting back with him after so long, or will she stay in Walford with her family?

Ricky will get custody of Scarlett, so it does seem the pair will leave the show for good - while Sam's future remains to be told.

That said, she might want to stick around to support her young son Ricky Jr, aged 12, as he's yet to find out some shocking news.

Lily Slater, also aged 12, learned she was pregnant last week after she and pal Ricky slept together late last year.

The youngster told her mother Stacey Slater that they were not a couple and only slept together once, after they turned to each other while struggling with things going on in their personal lives.

It's not known if or when Ricky will learn the truth, and what will happen next.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
