EastEnders lines up danger for Ben and Callum next week with blast from the past

EastEnders airs fresh danger for Ben Mitchell next week, as the BBC soap airs the return of a past villain.

Gangster Danny Hardcastle is back in Walford a year after his first stint, and Ben is his target.

While complete details are yet to be revealed as to why Danny is back and what he wants, fans can expect tense scenes this coming week.

But what is revealed is that Ben is left stunned when Danny appears, with him having a proposition for Phil Mitchell's son.

What Danny doesn't know at this point is Ben has lost almost all of his hearing, after being injured in the recent boat crash.

He's awaiting an operation, and will be told in scenes very soon that there's a risk of him never hearing again.

Ben is eager to act normal, and doesn't tell Danny about his hearing loss, pretending he can hear him.

But it isn't long before the truth is exposed, possibly leaving him in danger given Danny's history.

It all kicks off when Ben meets with Danny to discuss business, only for Ben's boyfriend Callum Highway to spot them.

Worried for him, he tries to get Ben to stay out of trouble but he ignores him.

Later on in the week, Danny arranges another meeting with Ben - only for Callum to show up.

When Danny finds out his links to the police he isn't happy.

But the further discovery of Ben being deaf sends him into a rage, feeling he is being messed around.

Pictures show Ben raising his hands as to stop Danny from attacking him or Callum, with him then no doubt explaining himself.

With their last meeting leading to his sister Louise being kidnapped and the family threatened, how will Ben and Callum get out of this one?

Viewers will have to tune in Monday to Friday to find out what happens.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
