EastEnders' Linda Carter left fearing for baby after Max Branning bombshell

EastEnders aired fresh concern for Linda Carter on Thursday, as she panicked about her unborn child.

The pregnant character made a shocking discovery about the father of her baby, Max Branning, that left her and husband Mick Carter reeling.

Linda recently revealed she was pregnant and that fling Max was the biological father.

She's worried husband Mick will not stand by her, as he continues to reel from the huge twist - while Max has no idea about the baby.

Max left earlier this year, so Linda hopes she and Mick can raise the child together with Max not in their lives.

But Jack Branning's recent bombshell about his brother has left her fearing for the baby, after it emerged he had kidnapped his granddaughter Abi.

Jack had taken the toddler to Paris to visit Max, but while he wasn't around Max fled and is now on the run with the tot.

Rainie and Stuart who have been raising the little one were heartbroken, as they feared they would never see Abi again.

As Jack dropped the shocking news about Max, the fear was evident on Linda's face - with her yet to tell him or Jack about the baby.

Mick's own horror was also visible, as he immediately stared at Linda with her hoping she had misheard what Jack had said.

The twist will no doubt worry her that if Max did ever learn the truth, he might try and take the baby.

But will she be able to keep the secret, and will Mick support her?

As for Abi, it's yet to be confirmed whether she will return and whether Max might come back with her.

Mick and Linda will no doubt hope he stays as far away as possible, as poor Rainie prays for the return of her great-niece.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
