Linda Carter will be arrested on tonight's EastEnders as her alcoholism escalates.
This evening, Linda gets in trouble with the law as she gets caught drink-driving.
Over the last few weeks, worried viewers have watched Linda descend into a downward spiral as she leans on alcohol to cope.
Linda wakes up with a hangover this evening but still has to take Ollie t school because Mick has a doctor's appointment.
When they arrive at school, Linda accidentally backs into another car and, instead of reporting it, decides to drive off.
But, unfortunately for her, someone sees and when she leaves the school she discovers that two police officers are waiting with Mieko and Shelley.
Linda attempts to defend herself, but she is left mortified when she ends up being arrested after failing a breathalyzer at the school.
Linda is then marched away by the coppers in front of the stunned parents, including Karen Taylor's daughter Chantelle.
The pub landlady, played by Kellie Bright, has managed to keep her dependency on alcohol a secret from her family.
But the family look set to finally discover the truth this week...
