EastEnders legend Billy Murray stars in trailer for brutal gangster film Nemesis

EastEnders legend Billy Murray is back as a whole new gangster in the trailer for a brutal gangster film.

British crime thriller Nemesis follows Billy's character, John Morgan, as the underworld kingpin returns to his home city of London after years away.

However, his return only results in a maelstrom of violence, revenge, home invasion, and bloody death.

The footage of the trailer certainly looks intense as John may come to regret stepping foot back on his old home turf.

Sir Roger Moore’s granddaughter Ambra Moore stars as John's daughter Kate, while Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott features as John's wife Sadie, both of whom come under threat from dangerous forces in the footage.

The cast also includes Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' Nick Moran, former EastEnders star Ricky Grover, Dungeons and Dragons actor Bruce Payne, The Football Factory star Frank Harper, and Game of Throne s actor Julian Glover.

Billy Murray previously told The Mirror last year when the film was announced that fans of his role as gangster Johnny Allen in EastEnders will find much to enjoy with Nemesis.

"John Morgan in Nemesis is definitely in the Johnny Allen mould and both are inspired by some of the more interesting people I have met over the years," revealed Billy.

The 74-year-old actor also revealed that Nemesis "really doesn't pull its punches" and "people will be talking about it for years."

"There’s a fantastic cast being assembled, the script is great and fresh and the director is very passionate," he teased.

Nemesis is released on DVD, digital and video on demand on March 29, 2021.
