EastEnders fans are in for a big treat this Christmas and the weeks to come, with the BBC soap launching its very own gameshow.
Titled Albert Squared, the first episode features some much loved cast members and launches at 6pm on Wednesday December 22.
It is said to be a mix of trivia, hilarious games and plenty of fun and laughs, as two teams of cast members go head-to-head to win each episode.
Martin Fowler actor James Bye takes on the role of host for the special series, which will launch on the BBC soap's YouTube account, as well as the soap's official Facebook page.
In episode one airing on Wednesday, Sonia Fowler actress and long-time EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy will take up the role of captain for the Walford Warriors.
Appearing alongside her are her co-stars Brian Conley, who plays Rocky AKA Tom Cotton, and Ash Kaur actress Gurlaine Kaur Garcha.
The other team will be the East End Defenders, headed up by Tameka Empson who plays Kim Fox.
Her team mates are Ben Mitchell actor Max Bowden and Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater.
Both of Martin Fowler's fictional ex wives will go head-to-head on opposing teams it seems, as Stacey actress Lacey and Sonia actress Natalie battle for the quiz crown.
James shared his excitement for the new quiz and his role as host, and said the quiz will show viewers what the cast are really like when the cameras stop rolling.
He said: "I really enjoyed it. I’ve never done anything like this before. We were told to have fun, have a laugh and show viewers what our relationships are like off camera and that’s exactly what we did.
"There are ten episodes of us just having a giggle. It really lifted everyone’s spirits when we needed it with all the news around at the moment just before Christmas and I hope that comes across on screen."
EastEnders' new quiz Albert Squared drops weekly online every Wednesday, for 10 weeks.
