EastEnders' Lacey Turner unveils garden makeover in her quirky home

She gave birth to her second child in February this year, but yesterday was another exciting delivery for Lacey Turner.

The EastEnders star posted a story captioned Delivery Day, to her 344,000 followers on Instagram showing a large lorry pulling up outside the actress' gates, and onloading a large set of rattan furniture, complete with cushions, all covered in plastic wrap.

The 33-year-old also wrote: “My first ever garden suite. Never been so excited Very kindly gifted.”

Once Lacey had put the outdoor furniture where she wanted it, she continued to show her joy, writing:

“Yasss!” to the soundtrack of Childish Gambado’s 2018 hit, Feels Like Summer.

But, as the mum of two pointed out, the weather wasn’t cooperating with that summery vibe.

She added: “Can’t wait to dress it up but for now because we are British the plastic is staying on” and finished the post with the hashtags: #Go away rain, #Come on summer and #British weather.

Lacey received three rattan sofas which she arranged in a horseshoe shape, with a table in the middle.

The garden set is thought to be worth at least £2,000 although as Lacey pointed out, she received it as a kind gift from a furniture company.

The actress, who plays Stacey Fowler in the long-running soap, was last seen on our screens in April when her character was sent to prison for a crime she didn’t commit.

Lacey's exit from the Square was because she was taking maternity leave. She has been married to her husband Matt Kay for nearly four years. She had their first child, a daughter called Dusty Violet in 2019, after suffering two miscarriages.

Their second baby, a son, Trilby Fox, was born in February this year.

And it looks like the furniture has arrived just in time. The Met Office has predicted that after this week, which is likely to remain very rainy, there will be sunshine and clear blue skies in time for the Bank Holiday on Monday, and for the remainder of that week.

Get the plastic covers off, Lacey, it’s time to enjoy your new furniture!
