EastEnders' Kellie Bright gives grave warning about Mick and Linda's future

EastEnders actress Kellie Bright has warned that Mick and Linda Carter's relationship will get "as bad as you can possibly imagine" - but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Speaking to Mirror TV on the NTAs red carpet last week, she admitted that she found Linda's alcoholism storyline physically and emotionally draining but hailed it a "gift".

She told us: "It's physically draining, emotionally draining. I always wanted to do it the service that it deserved - the storyline is such a gift, I feel really lucky just being given it."

Kellie added: "I've loved exploring this side of her character because I've played her for six and a half years and it's been a bit like opening up a chapter out of her that I haven't explored before and I think that's really interesting."

During the coming weeks, Mick and Linda's relationship will continue to deteriorate as her drinking spirals out of control.

Last week, Linda was left infuriated after discovering that husband Mick had told social services about her drinking.

Addressing Mick and Linda's future, Kellie said: "It gets as bad as you can possibly imagine it would get but Mick and Linda are Mick and Linda and I think they won't give up without a fight, let's put it that way."

Another thing that is set to test Mick and Linda's relationship is their boat party for all of their Walford punters, which sees one unfortunate resident tragically drown.

Actor Danny Dyer, who plays Mick, and branded the scenes "unbelievable".

Speaking about filming the scenes, Kellie said: "It was very exciting to film and I'm really excited about watching those episodes, they'll be really good. There's some really great stuff coming up on the show, actually."

When we probed her on whether Linda would meet her watery end, she teased: "I get wet, that's all I can tell you."
