EastEnders' Jessie Wallace looks worlds away from Kat Slater as she stops for petrol

EastEnders star Jessie Wallace appeared to be making the most of the warm weather on Tuesday as she was pictured leaving a north London petrol station in a black sundress.

The actress, 49, looked worlds away from her character Kat Slater's usual leopard print-themed garb in the spaghetti-strapped dress.

The soap star teamed her loose-fitting number with a pair of black and pink trainers and used her sunglasses to keep her chin-length hair off her face.

Jessie's causal appearance comes weeks after she left fans shocked when she shared a crude comment under her 26-year-old co-star Max Bowden's Instagram post.

Max shared a snap of himself looking rather dapper in a brown check blazer and double-breasted waistcoat at the National Television Awards two years ago.

He captioned the post: "Been a lifetime since this photo #ntas."

And it seems as though the Jessie was ready to stir the pot as she jokingly commented: "Remember… if you need a m***e to cry on…. I’m yer gal [winking emoji]."

The brash response stunned Max's followers as they shared both their horror and amusement at Jessie's reply.

One fan commented: "I am speechless and laughing at the same time xxxx I love the love and banter between eastenders cast it makes me smile."

Another wrote: "@jessie.wallace_official Supportive m***e. I’m defiantly using this as a pick up line. Cheers Jess," alongside a string of laughing emojis.

A third penned: "@jessie.wallace_official hahahaha I choked on my green bean when I saw this."

While fans were quick to jump on Jessie's comment, the actor himself seemed a little more coy and was yet to reply to his co-star.

Elsewhere, Jessie - who has starred on the popular BBC1 soap on and off since 2000 - was dramatically suspended from the BBC soap early last year after being accused of being drunk on set.

Jessie was written out of story lines for a brief period but made a triumphant return when filming resumed following the first lockdown.

In September, the actress also admitted that she enjoyed snogging her co-star Davood Ghadami while appearing on Secrets From The Square.

During the interview with Stacey Dooley, Jessie coyly discussed some of her raunchier scenes.

"I'm like, 'Oh ho ho ho!' I quickly go through the script and go, 'Oh, we snog! We snog in this one!'," Jessie jokingly told Stacey.

"Sometimes it's not in there and I say, 'Davood, do you think we should kiss in this one?'"
