EastEnders stalwart Jessie Wallace shocked fans on Tuesday as she left a crude comment on an Instagram post by co-star Max Bowden.
The 49-year-old star who is best known for her loudmouth cockney character Kat Slater on the BBC soap, left the cheeky reply after her 26-year-old co-star posted a throwback image to the social media platform.
Max shared a snap of himself looking rather dapper in a brown check blazer and double-breasted waistcoat at the National Television Awards two years ago.
He captioned the post: "Been a lifetime since this photo #ntas."
And it seems as though the Jessie was ready to stir the pot.
She jokingly commented: "Remember… if you need a m***e to cry on…. I’m yer gal [winking emoji]."
The response shocked followers of the post as they shared both their horror and amusement at Jessie's reply.
One fan commented: "I am speechless and laughing at the same time xxxx I love the love and banter between eastenders cast it makes me smile."
Another wrote: "@jessie.wallace_official Supportive m***e. I’m defiantly using this as a pick up line. Cheers Jess," alongside a string of laughing emojis.
A third penned: "@jessie.wallace_official hahahaha I choked on my green bean when I saw this."
While fans were quick to jump on Jessie's comment, the actor himself seemed a little more coy and was yet to reply to his co-star.
Fans of EastEnders were overjoyed in January when Max's character Ben Mitchell finally got engaged to his onscreen partner Callum Highway.
Viewers of the show were eventually able to see the pair tie the knot on Tuesday as the pair acted out a romantic ceremony.
It's not always been smiles and romance for the characters though.
The pair's relationship has been covered by a cloud of lies and crime since they first shared a kiss back in 2019.
But now it remains to be seen whether they can share their happy ever after.
