Coronation Street aired the arrival of Abi Franklin's ex Tez on the ITV soap on Wednesday.
Viewers quickly recognised the actor who plays the father of late character Seb Franklin, as he made his debut in the latest episode.
Tez is played by actor Stephen Lord, who has been in several hit TV shows from Marcella, to Once Upon a Time and Shameless.
But perhaps Stephen is most know for, or at least by soap fans, his role in rival soap EastEnders.
The actor played fan favourite Jase Dyer on the show from 2007 to 2008, with Jase being the father of current character Jay Brown.
While he was only on the soap for a short while, he certainly made his mark and is one of the most memorable characters in the show's history.
So when viewers realised it was him on Corrie on Wednesday night, many raced to Twitter to share their surprise - while the casting had been announced recently.
Many fans asked who the actor was as they recognised him but couldn't place him.
Plenty of others admitted they had to double take, as the actor looked so different 13 years on from his time in Walford.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer asked: "Abi's ex looks familiar! Anyone recognise him?"
Another said: "It's Jase from EastEnders!" as a third wrote: "It’s Jay's dad from eastenders."
Meanwhile, a fourth said: "Did he used to be in Eastenders or something??"
A fifth commented: "Abi ex = Jay's dad in eastenders."
The tweets kept on coming too, with another reading: "How is Abi’s ex (Seb’s dad) the same person from #Eastenders who played Jay’s dad?! Looks so old and different."
Meanwhile, the latest episode hinted Tez could be in cahoots with ex Abi, to bring down the killer of their son Seb - so we could be seeing much more of the newcomer.
