EastEnders' Isaac's secret condition confirmed as Schizophrenia in furious row with mum Sheree

Isaac Baptiste finally revealed his secret on EastEnders tonight during a row with mum Sheree - that he has Schizophrenia.

Viewers were left confused during Tuesday's episode as Isaac alluded to taking medication, while mum Sheree seemed insistent on him not pursuing a relationship with Lola.

Fans of the BBC soap were left furiously speculating what exactly Sheree wanted for him to keep quiet, but Isaac confirmed his condition this evening.

Storming into the salon, Isaac demanded to know whether Sheree had said something to Lola to put her off.

"Something had to say something before this got out of hand," snapped Sheree.

"It's not up to you," Isaac pointed out. "I want to be in control. I'm ready to tell people, mum."

"Go ahead," she hit back. "And watch them run a mile when they find out."

"I still remember the day I got diagnosed," he replied. "I walked for miles and days thinking my life was over. Thought everyone got to live a normal life instead of me. If anyone had said I would be a teacher one day, I would have said they were mad.

"But look at me now! I've learned to accept my diagnosis and Lola makes me feel like a normal person. "

She responded: "Listen to yourself! You're barely dating. This is exactly like last time - your mind plays tricks on you."

Isaac hit back: "There's nothing wrong with my mind! It's got a name, mum, why can't you say it? Say it mum!

"I'm not crazy, I've got Schizophrenia!"

Will Isaac tell Lola about his condition? And how will she react?

*EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8.05pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.35pm on BBC One
