EastEnders has been pulled from the television schedule on Friday.
The soap was given the chop to make room for a one-off BBC Sports Relief slot.
Dedicated fans of the show watched a double-bill of EastEnders on Thursday as TV bosses wanted to avoid as much disappointment as possible.
EastEnders has been penned in to air again on Monday after its usual break on the weekend.
Sports Relief has united stars from all walks of showbiz to raise money for charity.

Long-time viewers of the soap reached out to each other on social media to remind everyone it wasn't airing on Friday.
"REMINDER There's no episode tonight due to #SportRelief . #EastEnders ." One person wrote, among the crowd.
Another said: "Oh no how we going to cope ?"

EastEnders fans have been put on the edge of their seat after a disturbing conclusion to last night's episode.
Haunting scenes portrayed Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) begun hallucinating she had confronted a 12-year-old version of herself.
Eerily the character started to hear spine-tingling whispers from paedophile Tony King after her hunger strike led her to hallucinate.
Elsewhere in the episode, uneasy scenes saw Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) hailed a "hero" by his wife Chantelle's own parents moments after he bludgeoned her.
Gobsmacked fans expressed their disgust as Gray was called a hero just moments after viewers had watched him potentially rape his wife.
Among the tweets, one wrote: "Urgh, Gray getting praised in front of everyone after what he’s just done to his wife #EastEnders."
