EastEnders horror as Ben Mitchell attacks Rainie Branning in violent twist

EastEnders reveals a twist, as next week sees a desperate Ben Mitchell, played by actor Max Bowden, attack Rainie Branning.

The character who recently returned makes a discovery, leading to him taking on Rainie and her estranged husband Max Branning.

Ben overhears a conversation between her and Stuart Highway, and uses it to his advantage.

The mechanic purposely sabotages a sale at the car lot, before telling Rainie he can help fix the broken car only for her to clock on to what he’s doing.

She confronts him for deliberately damaging the car, but she’s left horrified when he threatens her before storming off.

Later on in the week, Ben plans his next step while Rainie is stunned to learn all of the cars have been stolen from the lot.

But when she aggressively confronts him, she pays the price when he returns with new spoiler pictures showing him attacking her, grabbing her by the hair.

Things go from bad to worse though, as Ben discovers Jay still technically owns the car lot despite signing it over to Max Branning, as the papers were not legal.

He offers Jay the chance to get back what’s his, eyeing up a business opportunity of his own.

Jay isn’t so sure initially, as Ben piles on the pressure before using his daughter Lexi as a ploy to get him.

Ben even suggests they go into business together, with Jay’s girlfriend Ruby not so sure about the idea.

But Ben is left fretting when he hears Jay has an appointment with a financial advisor, and does all he can to convince Jay to claim back the land.

Max and Rainie then find themselves being confronted by the boys, when they bring up the fact the documents are not legal – will Jay go through with it?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
