EastEnders heartache for Jean Slater as Daniel Cook actor teases upcoming death

EastEnders actor Ade Edmondson has confirmed his character Daniel Cook will die on the BBC soap amid his terminal cancer battle.

The character recently returned from the dead, after faking his death to protect love interest Jean Slater.

Viewers learned the he was still alive, while Jean only discovered the truth during the special flashback episode on New Year's Day.

Amid questions over whether Daniel would remain on the soap, it's now been confirmed by the actor who plays him that this will be the case for the time being.

But, with the character no longer receiving treatment, he will sadly lose his life.
