EastEnders fans work out death spoiler during Danny Dyer interview

EastEnders fans were able to work out a major spoiler after Danny Dyer was interviewed on ITV's This Morning.

One beloved character is confirmed to die on a sinking boat in a series of special episodes airing this week to mark the show's 35th anniversary.

Monday night's episode saw Danny's character Mick, as well as wife Linda, in a perilous position as the boat slowly sank.

Mirror Online reports that Danny told This Morning hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford that he was "gutted" to be leaving the show.

"No it's me. I'll just declare it now," joked Danny. "I was gutted. They called me upstairs. But I go out strong and I’m happy about it."

After he admitting he was just joking, he added: "You know I can't declare it but it's a real shock who goes, I’m telling you."

However, This Morning viewers were quick to point out that Mick must still be alive if Danny is filming on set.

One viewer said: "Spoiler Alert! Danny Dyer can’t have died on that boat means he is at work today filming thanks to This Morning Eastenders fans will be happy to know the best character in the show is not dead."

"Well it's obvious @MrDDyer doesn't die in Eastenders this week as he's currently being interviewed whilst on set. Why else would he be on set if he isn't there recording further episodes," added another.

Hinting at how the week would pan out, head of continuing drama Kate Oates said: "So you've got the Carters on Monday, and then we're looking at the Beales and the Fowlers on Tuesday, the Mitchells will be taking centre stage on Thursday, and everything coming together with this big culmination on Friday.

"They're the story strands that we've been building up to."
